Term & Conditions of Tour Operations
Cancellation: should you cancel up to 7 days prior to commencement; the payment will be refunded less a nominal charge. Cancellation less than 7 days will incur varying changes up to maximum of 100% of the cost of arrangements. They take effect from the day we receive.
Accommodation: prices are based on double occupancy. On single bookings there is supplement for nights spent in Nairobi, the Coast and on Safari. Single rooms on safaris cannot always be guaranteed due to limited space. Should an accommodation fail to provide single occupancy despite payment of supplement, the applicable amount is refunded. Accommodations are listed in preferred sequences. They range from modern hotels in Nairobi, picturesque randavels, deluxe resorts complexes, hotels, chalets and permanent camps on safari circulars, to imaginatively designed beach hotel. Most have private bathrooms and swimming pools and all have full restaurant and bar facilities.
Alteration to tours: the sequence and accommodations of all itineraries is normally adhered to but we reserve the right to make alterations enforced by weather road works, high season congestions or other cause. Any delays caused by breakdowns or mechanical failure of vehicle on safari will not be liability of the company. As specified accommodation cannot be guaranteed even if extra money has been paid.
Transportation: transfers, excursions and tours are by saloon cars and safari vehicles with English speaking driver/guide.
Liberty:
a) The company and its agents act only as agents of the client in all matters relating to accommodation, sight-seeing excursion tours and all forms of transport. The company cannot accept any responsibility for default whether negligent or otherwise on the party of any of the services or accommodation with which the booking is made or which additional expenses occasioned by heir delay, alteration of travel services, sickness, injuries or as a result of weather, civil altering or adding to the cost of services, excursions or tours applied for and booked.
b) The company liability to passengers carried in vehicles for transfers, excursion and tours is governed by the laws of Kenya and all claims are subject only to the courts of Kenya.
c) The company reserves the right to employ sub-contractor and in the event of such exercise of such right the terms of (a) clause relating to the company’s liability shall apply.
d) Whilst every care is taken the company cannot be responsible for loss and damage to personal properties and its advisable to arrange relevant insurance.
Valuables: please keep this with you at all times. Safety deposits facilities are available at most accommodations.
Prices: this include all expenses connected with site seeing as indicated in itineraries, entrance fees to attraction visited, accommodation service charges, government taxes, continental breakfast while in Nairobi and full board on safari. Prices exclude the cost of passport, visa, health documents, gratitude, laundry, drinks and other personal items. Bat trip in L. Baringo and Maasai village in Maasai Mara are not included in the tour price, Kenya departure taxes are not included.
All prices are subject to change without advance notice based on increase rates and / or fluctuation in foreign currencies and oil prices. Once the tour has started, no refund shall be made for any reason whatsoever.
Baggage: while on safari one piece of luggage is permitted per person, plus the carry on. All excess baggage should be checked upon arrival at your Nairobi Hotel until completion of the safari. A small overnight or car-on-bag is the only requirement for any of the three tree hotels. Formal dress i.e a jacket and a tie for the gentlemen and a dress for the lady is required for dinner at the Mt. Kenya Safari Club, otherwise dress casually for comfort on safari.
The company reserves the right to offload any passenger at time if he / she does not or is not prepared to adhere to any scheduled itinerary or is difficult in any other or for any other reasons.
Safari Orientation: safari tours are ideal for the good natured realist who enjoy being with others and is able to adhere to the very modest rigours imposed by scheduled itinerary. Be prepared to sometimes encounter customs, habits, living standard which may be different from your own with an open tolerant mind. African in towns and up-country respond warmly to an attitude of friendship and respect and use of common courtesy at all times helps to avoid misunderstandings.
